Honda Activa Electric: Japan’s two-wheeler manufacturer Honda Two Wheelers is going to explode soon. The company has announced to launch more than 10 electric models globally by 2025. Honda has told that the company is preparing two commuter electric two-wheelers which will be launched especially in Asia, Japan and Europe. In such a situation, it is expected that the new Honda electric scooter can be launched in the Indian market on January 23, 2023. If reports are to be believed then it could be the electric avatar of the Honda Activa.
Honda has started sending media invites for August 23, 2023. The tagline in this invite is “Get ready to find a new smart”. At present, details about this electric scooter have not been revealed. It is expected that the new Honda electric scooter will come with a swappable battery. If rumors are to be believed then this could be the best selling scooter of the company, the Honda Activa.
After coming in electric avatar, it will compete with TVS iQube Electric, Ather 450X, Simple Energy One and Bounce Infinity E1. However, this could also spell trouble for Ola Electric, which currently remains India’s best selling electric two-wheeler company.
Recently, Honda has announced the launch of its battery swapping service in association with Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL). This battery pack service is initially used for electric auto rickshaws, but will also be used for the company’s electric two-wheelers.
