According to a statement issued by HDFC, the company has increased its retail prime lending rates on housing loans. Explain that this is the rate at which the adjustable rate home loan is the benchmark. Earlier on June 9, the company had increased the RPLR by 50 basis points.

Apart from this, on June 1, the company had increased by 0.5 percent. At the same time, in the month of May also, the prices have increased twice. Due to the increased rates by the company, the home loan will become even more expensive i.e. your EMI amount will increase.

meeting will start next week
The company has decided to increase the interest rates even before the RBI meeting. RBI’s meeting will be held next week and experts believe that in the meeting to be held in August, policy rates may increase from 0.25 percent to 0.35 percent.

How much did the net profit of the company increase
HDFC Ltd’s net profit on a standalone basis in the first quarter April-June of the current financial year (2022-23) has increased by 22.2 per cent to Rs 3,668.92 crore. At the same time, in the April-June quarter of the last financial year 2021-22, the company’s net profit was Rs 3,001 crore. The company’s total income increased to Rs 13,248.73 crore during the quarter under review. Apart from this, it was Rs 11,663.14 crore in the same period a year ago.
