Holi 2022: Snapchat launches special filters for Holi

The festival of Holi will be celebrated in India today i.e. on March 18. On this special occasion, Snapchat has announced the addition of Holi themed AR lenses, Gulaal Beatmoji, special Holi playlists, Holi themed content and many new features to the app. Users will be able to add specific location-based filters to photos from 500 different locations and 32 different cities in India. Along with this, Holi Stickers and Beatmoji will also be added. 

Snapchat has also introduced a fun Holi Beard lens and a lens to wish Holi in different languages. Using these, users can celebrate Holi. In addition to the Snapchat app, these lenses will also be available on partner devices such as Samsung Fun Mode and Google Camera Go. 

Community Lens is all set to feature on Snapchat Maps for the first time in India. Users will be able to activate these Holi special lenses created by members of the Snapchat Lens network community directly on Snap Maps.

For users looking for Holi specific entertainment options, festival themed content will also be available on the Discover and Spotlight platforms. Along with this, special lenses have also been introduced with dedicated Holi songs. So that users can use them in spotlight videos. If users want, they can also use Holi AR lenses in the Snap camera and desktop app.
