In Uttarakhand, the Special Task Force i.e. STF has arrested a hi-tech thief who used to steal only Toyota’s premium SUV Fortuner, not ordinary cars. We called this thief hi-tech because he had imported software worth Rs 2.5 lakh from China to steal Fortuner. Let us tell you that this SUV of Toyota is quite advanced in terms of safety and stealing it is not an easy task. With the help of this software, thieves used to open the lock of the SUV and used to sell it in Mewat area of Rajasthan. Let us also tell that the Mewat area has become a stronghold for online fraud and selling stolen vehicles.
Vicious thief caught by police
The leader of the gang of thieves, Ankit, has been arrested by the police, on which a reward of Rs 5000 was kept. According to the information, Ankit is a very clever criminal and had been escaping from the clutches of the police for a long time. This gang had stolen a Fortuner from Haridwar last year, after registering the report, the police recovered the SUV and arrested four accused, their names are Jalal, Azharuddin, Abdul Majeed and Neeraj. Despite this, Ankit could not touch the police for a long time. The Uttarakhand Police had placed a reward of Rs 5,000 on this thief. Now STF has arrested it from Panipat district of Haryana.
Caught after getting information from informer
After the information received from the informer about Ankit, the police swung into action and caught this vicious thief while taking action. Cases are registered against Ankit in many states including Haryana, Punjab, UP and Delhi. There have been many attempts to arrest him before, but every time Ankit used to run away by dodging the police. The informer informed the police that Ankit was in Panipat, after which the police took action with full preparation and arrested him.
