Hero MotoCorp Unveils New Combat Edition of Zoom Scooter
Hero MotoCorp has launched a new variant of its popular Zoom scooter, the Combat Edition. Based on the top-spec ZX variant, this edition brings unique design elements and enhanced features to the table.
Distinctive Design Inspired by Fighter Jets
The Hero Zoom Combat Edition retains the design of the standard model but draws inspiration from fighter jets. It features a striking matte shadow grey color scheme with yellow and black accents, along with yellow and white graphics. This stylish look sets it apart and positions it to compete with the Honda Dio scooter.
Unique Features of the Combat Edition
The Combat Edition shares its mechanical features with the ZX variant but includes several distinctive upgrades:
- Cornering Lights: Enhance visibility during turns.
- Digital Display with Bluetooth Connectivity: Provides call and SMS alerts.
- USB Charging Port: Convenient for charging devices on the go.
- 12-inch Alloy Wheels: Adds stability and style.
Additional design elements include yellow and white graphics on the apron and front side panels, a headlight-mounted apron, projector-LED headlamps, H-shaped LED DRLs, a flat footboard, a single-piece seat, and black-out mirrors.
Powerful and Reliable Powertrain
The Zoom Combat Edition is powered by the same 110.9cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the current model. This engine delivers 8.2hp at 7,250rpm and 8.7 Nm of torque at 5,750rpm. The scooter also features a boot light and glove box for added convenience.
Safety and Pricing
For rider safety, the Combat Edition includes a front disc brake and a rear drum brake. This new variant is priced at Rs 80,967 (ex-showroom).
