Xtreme 160R gets a new look
In terms of design, the new Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition 2.0 is similar to its standard variant. However, the bike has been given a premium look with red accents in the telescopic forks, headlight cowl, frame and pillion grab rail of the bike. The motorcycle also gets knuckle guards.
Like the standard model, in the new Stealth Edition too, the company has given all the lighting in LED. Apart from this, the bike also gets an inverted LCD display with adjustable brightness, telescopic forks at the front and a preload-adjustable mono-shock suspension unit at the rear.
Hero MotoCorp offers this bike in three variants – Single Disc, Dual Disc and Stealth Edition. All the variants share the same design, mechanical specifications and hardware. The bike uses a 163cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that generates 15bhp power at 8,500rpm and 14Nm peak torque at 6,500rpm.
The engine of the bike is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch wheels with 100/80 and 130/70 section front and rear tyres, respectively. The curb weight of the single disc variant is 138.5 kg, while that of the dual disc model is 139.5 kg.
It has a fuel tank of 12-litre capacity. The motorcycle is available in 5 color options – Extreme Stealth Edition (Black), Pearl Silver White, Vibrant Blue, Sports Red and 100 Million Limited Edition (Red and White). The drum brake setup has been used at the rear in the single disc version. On the other hand, the dual disc brake variant and the Stealth Edition get disc brake on both the wheels. For safety, this bike is equipped with single channel ABS which is given on the front wheel.

Super Splendor Black & Xcent is available at a starting price of Rs.77,430 ex-showroom. The new Hero Super Splendor is offered in two variants – Drum and Disc. There are two colors in the new Black and Accent variants. The first is an all black color and the second is a silver color with all black. The engine, alloy wheels, exhaust, handlebar of the bike get matte black paint. The Hero Super Splendor Black and Accent variant uses the current model’s BS-VI 124.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out 10.7 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 10.6 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. The company is expecting the sales of the bikes to increase during the festivals which have been affected since the Corona pandemic. In the Indian market, Hero Xtreme 160R competes with Bajaj Pulsar N160 and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Suzuki Gixxer 150.
