Hero Electric beats two-wheeler sales, Ather becomes the only company to roll

The top 10 electric sales have seen a year-on-year growth of 247 percent. Month-on-month, it has seen an increase of 6 percent. Talking about the sales last month, the figure was 39,755 units. This was higher as compared to 11,425 units in July 2022. In comparison, an increase of 28,330 units was registered. However, Ather fell behind in this episode. The company remained low in month-on-month sales.

Hero Electric remained at the top spot in July 2022. Its sales stood at 8,953 units. Accordingly, Hero Electric posted a year-on-year growth of 108.05 per cent. Top 10 Electric Sales in June 2022 was Okinawa at No. 2. The company sold 8093 units in July 2022. In July 2021, this figure was 2,580 units. In this way the company has grown by 213 percent. Sales in June 2022 stood at 6,984 units, a month-on-month growth of 16 per cent.

Ampere remained at number 3 in this list. There were sales of 6,313 units in July 2022. 657 units were sold in July 2021. In this way a growth rate of 860 percent was achieved. Ampere Electric has registered steady growth in sales. It was followed by TVS Motor’s number. In terms of electric two-wheeler sales, 4,258 units were sold in July 2022. It witnessed a growth of 557 percent as against 648 units sold in July 2021.

Ola, Bajaj, Revolt, Ather Ola electric sales stood at 3,859 units in July 2022. This was a month-on-month decline of 34.5 per cent as against 5,892 units sold in June 2022. Ola is preparing to introduce its next launch S1 Pro electric scooter around Diwali. In this, hi-tech features such as hill hold control, hyper charging, proximity unlock etc. will be given. Bajaj Chetak electric scooter sold 2,433 units in July 2022. This is a year-on-year growth of 234 per cent as compared to 728 units sold in July 2021. Year-on-year growth has also been reported by Revolt. The company registered a growth of 630 percent as against 317 units sold in July 2021. However, its month-on-month sales have seen a decline of 4.4 per cent.

Ather has posted a year-on-year and month-on-month decline of 28 percent and 66 percent, respectively. It sold 1,799 units in July 2021, which fell to 1,286 units in July 2022. In June 2022, the company had sold 3,830 units. Ather recently launched the Gen 3 450X electric scooter which competes with the TVS iQube. Both Benling and Okaya reported year-on-year and month-on-month sales of 1,167 units and 1,076 units in July 2022.
