The team behind the popular short vertical video service TikTok has taken a surprising turn. Testing of a fundamentally new horizontal full-screen mode for the service has begun.
As TechCrunch points out, some TikTok users have noticed the new full-screen button. A button very similar to the one on YouTube puts a TikTok video in horizontal full-screen mode.
The TikTok team confirmed to TechCrunch that testing among a limited number of users is indeed underway.
This makes TikTok even closer in functionality to YouTube. Earlier this year, TikTok increased the maximum video length to 10 minutes.
