New Delhi. Apple will soon launch the Apple Watch 8 and the upgraded AirPods Pro along with the iPhone 14 series. Several rumors have reported that the AirPods Pro may get a body temperature sensor as well as a heart rate sensor, and that many health-centric features have been added to the AirPods. However, Mark Gurman has denied this.
However, according to Mark Gurman, this year’s AirPods Pro will not feature heart rate or body temperature sensors. According to reports, Apple is still considering introducing both these features on the earbuds. It may be introduced sometime in the future, but this year users will not get these features.
AirPods Pro were launched in 2019
Let us know that AirPods Pro was introduced in 2019 and till now no update has been done in them. Although now it is expected that Apple will introduce its upgraded version this year, but it will include features like better audio quality, noise-cancellation and spatial audio. However, users will have to wait for health sensors now.
Body temperature sensor will be available in Watch 8 series
Gurman has indicated that the body temperature sensor is going to be included in the Watch 8 series and will also be part of the Apple Watch Series 8 and the new Rugged Edition. However, this body temperature feature is not expected to come in the new edition of Apple Watch SE. This edition is expected to be launched this year.
Sensor will not act like a thermometer
Gurman’s tip about body temperature justifies analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s prediction. Ming had said that Apple is working on fine-tuning the algorithm on the next smartwatch to measure body temperature. Gurman says that the sensor of the watch will not work like a thermometer and the wrist will still not get an accurate reading. Instead, the sensor will indicate and alert if someone has a fever.
