In Uzbekistan, sales of an inexpensive sedan Chevrolet Onix have begun, the price of which is from 150 million soums, which, translated into our money, is about 1 million rubles.
Official deliveries to Russia are not planned, but the car will most likely be imported using parallel imports, like the previously released Chevrolet Tracker.
Onix production began in mid-February at the UzAuto Motors plant in Asaka. It is built on the global GEM platform, created by General Motors specifically for the needs of developing countries. The car is technically close to the Chevrolet Cruze, although the Onix is slightly more compact: the length is 4474 mm.
Production was immediately launched in full cycle mode with welding and stamping of bodies. The level of localization was 50%, and will be increased to 70% within a year. The model produced in Uzbekistan is available only with 1.2-liter three-cylinder gasoline engines: atmospheric develops 90 hp. With. and is equipped only with a manual transmission, a turbo engine with a capacity of 132 liters. With. is paired with a six-speed automatic.

The version with a turbocharged engine costs from 1.25 million rubles in terms of our money, and the older version is offered for 1.4 million rubles. Presumably, when imported into Russia by parallel import, the price of the basic version will be from 1.6-1.7 million rubles.
