Keeping in view the increasing number of Kovid-19 cases in India, the Union Health Ministry has recently given instructions to set up Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) booths in all the states and union territories. At the same time, many people are also doing their test at home. Regarding this, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) shared the do’s and don’ts about home testing. In such a situation, if you are doing a home test at home, then you have to take care of some things about which we are telling you here.
How to download the COVID Home Testing Mobile App: All ICMR-approved testing kits have home testing mobile apps that are available on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
Information available on the app: These mobile apps provide a guide to the testing process as well as provide positive and negative results to the patient.
How users can upload their testing results- Users are advised to click a photo of the test strip after completing the testing process from the same mobile phone that they have used to download the app.
Where does the test result data go? The data in your mobile phone’s app is captured in a secure server that is linked to the ICMR COVID-19 Testing Portal. All the data is stored here.
User privacy- According to ICMR, the privacy of the users who upload the data remains completely intact.
What information needs to be shared? You will have to provide your name, date of birth, age, address, mobile number, vaccination status, Aadhar card etc.
