Would you like to have dinner while hanging in the sky 98 thousand feet above the Earth? If you also get excited about traveling to space, then your dream can also be fulfilled next year. Space tourism company SpaceVIP has come out with a unique offer under which a person can go and have dinner in space. This trip will be conducted in a special type of space balloon. It will be a pressurized balloon so that the passengers will not face any air-related problems at such a high altitude. How much will this trip cost? Let us tell you.

SpaceVIP, a space tourism company, has offered to have dinner in space. Six lucky people will be selected for this experience. The trip will depart next year, and the six passengers will tour space for six hours. According to Forbes, you will be able to enjoy dinner while floating in the air at a height of 30 kilometers above the Earth, i.e., about 98 thousand feet. For this, a price of 500 million dollars (about Rs 41.5 billion) per person has been set. A special menu will be prepared for the passengers, which will be curated by Michelin-starred chef Rasmus Munk.

Spaceship Neptune will carry all the passengers. This is the world’s first carbon-neutral spacecraft. The journey is scheduled for the end of 2025 and will depart from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. According to Chef Munk, there is significant demand for this space dinner experience. Despite the hefty price tag, people are showing interest in it in large numbers. The special thing is that there will be no need for any special training for the passengers.

SpaceVIP isn’t the only company offering space trips. Earlier, the French company Zephalto had also announced a similar trip last year but at a lower price. Zephalto has priced its experience at 132,000 dollars (about Rs 1.10 crore) per person, and the company’s spacecraft will fly in 2025. According to reports, significant growth is expected in space tourism in the coming years.
