The Chinese company Great Wall Motors announced that by 2030 its sub-brand Haval will stop selling gasoline cars. They will be replaced by electric vehicles and hybrids. This was discussed at the presentation of the Great Wall concern, an excerpt from which was given by Chinese Automobiles.
Chery, Changan and Geely have already announced plans to switch to renewable energy sources, but Haval was one of the first to name specific dates. The starting point in his case will be 2025, by which time hybrid and electric models will account for 80% of sales. And the second will come in 2030, when models with internal combustion engines will finally disappear from the brand line.
Great Wall will invest at least $ 15 billion in the development of “green” technologies, and from the side it will be possible to recognize electric and hybrid Havals not only by the charging hatch on the body, but also by the updated logo with a futuristic font.
The current Haval lineup is already represented by three hybrid cars – Chitu (Red Rabbit), Shenshou (Mystical Beast) and H6S. Very soon, a similar Haval H6 in versions with a conventional and plug-in hybrid, a more compact Jolion and other new items will be added to it.
