Recruitment of wildlife inspectors in Haryana soon: for the first time women will also get a chance; Speed walking was also included in the test.
Haryana Government is soon going to fill the vacant posts of Wildlife Inspector. After the change in the appointment process in the cabinet, for the first time the government will also give a chance to women. Speed walking test has been included in the mandatory physical criteria for appointment. Different physical standards have been fixed for men and women.
Haryana State Wildlife Preservation Department, State Service Clerical, Executive Section and Miscellaneous (Group-C) Service Rules, 1998 have been amended in the cabinet meeting.

fixed Minimum physical standard is not fixed for the appointment of Wildlife Inspector in Haryana State Wildlife Preservation Department. Minimum physical standards were prescribed for the appointment of wild life guard but there was no speed walking test in it. Also, there was no provision for women candidate, so these rules have been amended.
Walking test will be 25 km in 4 hours.
After amendment, now under the minimum physical criteria for men, height should be 168 cm, chest without expansion should be 79 cm and chest should be 84 cm with expansion. Height for female is 155 cms. Also, a walking test of 25 kms for men and 14 kms for women is to be completed in 4 hours.
