Hackers have learned to penetrate user files through TP-Link routers

Hacker attacks are carried out through the popular TL-WR840N (EU) v5 model. The devices are being hijacked by the Dark Mirai botnet, also known as Manga and Dark.IoT.

This TP-Link model had poorly protected ports through which the botnet penetrates the network when entering the default password on the router. Infected routers form a network of bot bots that carry out massive DDoS attacks, during which a number of requests that exceed the processing speed are sent to the target server, as a result of which the attacked server fails. However, attacks come from different locations that are difficult to identify. Thus, hackers not only attack various systems, but also hide behind the data of users whose routers have been hijacked.

As noted, the router manufacturer has already fixed the vulnerability.
