MediaTek continues the process of renaming all current platforms. Today she introduced SoC Dimensity 8050, which is not new. Technically, this is a complete copy of the Dimensity 1300.

However, the bottom line is that there is Dimensity 8000, which, judging by the number, should be a little slower than Dimensity 8050, but in practice it is 10-15% faster, and it is also produced using a thinner 5 nm process technology. The Dimensity 8100 and 8200 are, of course, even faster.
However, about 700,000 points in AnTuTu is an excellent average even for 2023. For example, Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, Exynos 1380 and Dimensity 1080 gain significantly less.
