Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara S-CNG Launched: Maruti Suzuki has launched the CNG variant of the SUV Grand Vitara. It can be bought in Delta and Zeta options.
The Grand Vitara S-CNG Delta price starts at Rs 12.85 Lakh while the Zeta variant costs Rs 14.84 Lakh. Both the prices are ex-showroom.
The Grand Vitara S-CNG looks similar to the petrol-powered Grand Vitara. Apart from the Delta and Zeta variants, the Grand Vitara is sold in two more variants. In this, the base variant Sigma and Alpha are sold as top-end variants. The Zeta and Alpha variants have been introduced with a strong hybrid engine.
With the launch of Grand Vitara S-CNG, it becomes the 14th CNG model in Maruti Suzuki’s portfolio. The Grand Vitara will be the first CNG SUV to get six airbags. Other features include SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and in-built next-gen Suzuki Connect with 40+ connected features.

Powering the Grand Vitara S-CNG is the same K-Series 1.5-litre, Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine that powers several other Maruti vehicles. It generates 86.63 bhp at 5,500 rpm and peak torque output of 121.5 Nm at 4,200 rpm.
These power outputs are the same as when running on CNG. Maruti Suzuki is claiming a fuel efficiency of 26.6 km/kg. On petrol, the power output goes up to 99 bhp at 6,000 rpm and peak torque output stands at 136 Nm at 4,400 rpm. The S-CNG variant will be offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox only.

Maruti Suzuki also offers a strong-hybrid engine with the Grand Vitara. It produces 114 bhp at 5,500 rpm and peak torque output of 122 Nm at 4,400-4,800 rpm. It comes only with an e-CVT automatic transmission. The Grand Vitara is the only SUV in the segment to be offered with an all-wheel drive system as well. However, it is only available with the K-Series engine with a manual gearbox.
