Google will disable syncing of bookmarks and history in older versions of Chrome

The official Google support forum says that as soon as the stable version of Chrome 96 is released, all browsers starting with version 48 and older will no longer support syncing between devices. Google previously announced this change in the Chrome Enterprise release notes and it has now come down to implementation.

The Chrome 96 release is expected to take place in the second half of November, so the company has notified users in advance so that everyone can prepare for these changes or update to the proposed test version.
