Tech giant Apple has launched its Fitness+ app for the first time on iPhones. Due to which Google has entered the segment by presenting its Health Connect App in association with Samsung. At the same time, this application will now help the user to use and reduce their dependency on third party apps. Please note that this application is available on the play store.
Like every other application, Google’s Health app will allow users to track all their fitness activities and maintain their fitness records, making it easier for users. Users will be able to see which apps have data at any time.
With the help of this app, Android users can now sync all their data and even get credits for Peloton workouts in apps like Oura, MyFitnessPal, WeightWatchers, and Lifesum.
How will the app work?
The app provides a standardized data schema that supports over 40 data types across six categories. The app will track information ranging from exercise to sleep tracking.
Before apps were built, developers had to work with multiple API connections to share data between different apps. However, with the help of Health Connect, different health and fitness apps can talk to each other, giving users better health information.
However, the tech giant has recently rolled out the application and it is in beta testing phase. Presently, the application is available for Android users. The company has not revealed any official date for the release but we can expect it to come soon.
