It was downloading “droppers” app into users ‘phones and stealing users’ private information. The apps were developed by companies such as Zbynek Adamcik, Adelmio Pagnotto and Bingo Like Inc. Although Google has deleted these apps from the Play Store, these apps are still available on many third party stores.
Sharkbot took 22 different permissions from malware users such as SMS, downloading Java code, installation file, updating local database, uninstalling app, contact, battery optimization.
