The Google Play service recently celebrated its 10th anniversary since its launch. And on this significant day, the company introduced a new store logo, and also disclosed sales statistics. As noted, the service is used every month by more than 2.5 billion people from 190 countries. The platform features content from over 2 million developers.
The new logo is not too different from the old one, but the company itself positions it as a solution that “better reflects the magic of Google and matches the branding of other useful products.” Among those there are “Search”, “Assistant”, “Photo”, Gmail and other services.
The new version of the logo uses more contrasting colors, a different structure of elements and heavily rounded corners. At the same time, the logo has already appeared in Google Pay and in the US patent database.
