Google Pixel Fold: Google is expected to launch its first foldable phone, called the Google Pixel Fold. Ahead of the launch, some specifications have surfaced online. This foldable phone is expected to come with a clamshell design similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series. As reported by 91Mobiles, codenamed Felix, the Pixel Fold will come with a triple rear camera setup.

The report suggests that the Google Pixel Fold is likely to feature Samsung’s in-house display. The internal folding display is expected to offer a resolution of 1840×2208 pixels and measure 123mm x 148mm. In terms of brightness, the smartphone is expected to offer a peak brightness of 1200 nits and an average of 800 nits.

The foldable display of the smartphone is expected to come with support for high refresh rate. According to developer Kuba Wojciechowski, the high refresh rate can go up to 120Hz. Earlier reports suggest that the cover display could be of 5.8-inches. The Pixel Fold could be powered by Google’s Tensor chipset and come with support for a physical SIM card and an eSIM.
Google Pixel Fold Camera
Instead of using the Samsung GN1 sensor present on the Pixel 7 series, the Pixel Fold may use the 12.2-megapixel Sony IMX363 sensor that is used on the Pixel 6a as the primary camera. Additional cameras on the Pixel Fold are expected to include a 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 ultrawide sensor and an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355s sensor. The front camera is rumored to be fixed on the bezel instead of the chin above or below the display.
When will the Pixel Fold launch?
The Pixel Fold was expected to launch this year, but now a recent report suggests that it will arrive by March 2023. Google has not yet officially confirmed the existence of the Pixel Fold. We were expecting that the company will give us a teaser during the launch of Pixel 7 series, but it did not happen.
