Samsung Galaxy S24 With the series smartphones, Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro owners can now use Google’s Circle to Search feature on their smartphones to perform Google Lens-like searches without having to switch to their current application. Google’s AI-powered feature is expected to come to other flagship smartphones as well.

As per Google’s previously announced schedule, Pixel 8 And the Pixel 8 Pro has been updated with support for the new Circle to Search feature. A Gadgets 360 staff member has confirmed that the feature was enabled on their Pixel 8 smartphone without installing any software updates – suggesting that it was enabled remotely by Google.

While users can still use Google Lens by opening the Google app or through the Google Assistant, doing so requires them to minimize the app they’re using. At the same time, the new Circle to Search feature lets you search without minimizing the app you are using.

Using the Circle to Search feature on the Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro requires a long press on the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. The phone will freeze the image visible on the screen so you can draw or write down a picture of a product or item to do a visual lookup using Google. You can also highlight text and perform Google searches through the popup.

The company had earlier announced that the Circle to Search feature would be available on “select premium Android smartphones” on Thursday, apart from the latest Pixel 8 series and Galaxy S24 series, so we can expect the feature to arrive on smartphones from other brands soon. Have been.
