Google named its best-selling smartphones

Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai named the best-selling devices in the history of the American company Google. They were smartphones Pixel 6a, Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.

Sundar Pichai added that last year, smartphones increased their share in all markets in which Google operated. He also stated the following:

Very, very pleased with how the Pixel handled the challenging macro environment. Look, I think our portfolio of our hardware devices is incredibly important. This is what allows us to… invest and drive innovation.

Alphabet CFO Ruth Porat spoke about Google’s plans to increase its focus on Pixel phones in 2023, saying, “We continue to make significant investments, especially in support of innovation in our Pixel family, while working to place greater focus and cost-effectiveness throughout all directions.”

Pichai added, “We’re working to improve the economy and hardware as we focus more on the Pixel lineup and our overall cost structure.”
