Google Layoffs: Google prepares for biggest layoff, 30,000 jobs at risk, know how their need ended as soon as AI came

Google may soon make big layoffs. The company’s 30,000-job ad sales unit is at risk for employees. With new AI innovations, the need for specialist staff is gone.

The world’s leading search engine Google is preparing for a big layoff. A year ago, Google fired 12,000 employees. It was the largest layoff in the company’s history. This record may be broken soon, that too with a margin of more than double. A new report has revealed that the company is preparing for a big lay-off. There is a threat to the jobs of 30,000 employees. Google can re-organize the ad-sales unit with thirty thousand employees. This is happening due to the company’s recent new AI innovation. The Information has given this information in its report.

Threat to Add-Sales Unit

According to the report, many jobs in the ad-sales unit are being eliminated, because Google has introduced new AI-based tools. These tools can automatically suggest and create new ads that perform well for customers. This means that Google is now becoming more reliant on AI and wants less human intervention. This can lead to major changes in the advertising industry and affect the employment of many people.

AI eating jobs

Google launched its AI powered campaign planner, Performance Max, in 2021. At the Google I/O event earlier this year, the company decided to add generative AI-based capabilities to advertising tools. This makes it easy to create and scale custom assets in just a few clicks. The Information report states that a large number of advertisers are now adopting Performance Max, eliminating the need for expert staff to sell ads for a specific Google service such as YouTube, Search, Display, Discover, Gmail and Maps.
