Google Hints at Early Android 17 Stable Release; Second Beta Confirmed for March 2026

Google suggests Android 17 stable update could roll out between April and June 2026. The second beta is set for March, with Pixel devices expected to receive the update first.

Google has hinted that the stable version of Android 17 could launch between April and June 2026, earlier than expected. Release notes tagged ‘26Q2’ and references to a June beta exit window strongly suggest a Q2 rollout. The company has also confirmed that Android 17 Beta 2 will arrive in March 2026.

As usual, the update is expected to debut first on Google Pixel devices before expanding to other Android manufacturers. The first beta introduces performance improvements, enhanced camera and media features, support for Versatile Video Coding (VVC), new loudness management controls, and stronger privacy and security enhancements.
