Google has banned from indicating in the names of applications that they are free

The innovation has been noticed following recent changes to the rules and policies for publishing on Google Play. It turned out that now developers cannot insert words into the title that can affect the rating of the application. These include “# 1”, “Best”, “Popular”, “Editor’s Choice”, “New” or “Free”. To this list, as experts found out, were added the phrases “no advertising”, “small, no advertising” and “no advertising. If you try to publish an app with that name, Google Play will reject it.

The developers also noted that Google prohibits the use of the phrase “untracked” or “open source” in the title.
