Microsoft Your Windows 10 is about to shut down soon. The company has announced in a blog post that it will no longer release major software updates for Windows 10. It is being closed. The company says that Windows 10 22H2 will be the last version of the operating system. Along with this, the company also confirmed that all versions of Windows 10 will continue to receive monthly security updates for a few years. This Windows version will be discontinued on 14 October 2025.
From the way it’s documented on the Windows 10 Enterprise and Education and Windows 10 Home and Pro lifecycle pages, it’s fair to say that this version will end support after October 14, 2025. After this, Microsoft users will have to update to Windows 11. At present, only Windows 11 is being given in the new laptops that are coming. In such a situation, it will be easy for the users to switch to this version after some time.
