The AX5 and AX7 trims of the petrol and diesel engine options of the XUV700 have been reduced, while the prices of the other variants have remained unchanged. The petrol model of the XUV700 has been reduced in AX5 manual 5 seater, AX5 manual 7 seater, AX7 manual, AX5 automatic 5 seater and AX7 automatic variants.
On the other hand, the prices of AX5 manual 5 seater, AX5 manual 7 seater, AX7 manual 7 seater, AX5 automatic 5 seater, AX5 automatic 7 seater, AX7 automatic and AX5 automatic all wheel drive variants have been reduced in the diesel model. The XUV700 manual is currently available with a starting price of Rs.13,18,162 onwards.
The XUV700 is available in a total of four trims – MX, AX3, AX5 and AX7. This SUV has been made available in two engine options – 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel and has been given the option of 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes. Talking about the new update, recently the company has also added Apple CarPlay to the XUV700.
In late July, the XUV700 underwent changes to the MX, AX3, AX5, AX7 and AX7L. The company had removed some important features from these variants. Talking about the MX variant of the Mahindra XUV700, the rear parking sensor, height-adjustable driver seat, rear spoiler and follow me home headlight were removed. At the same time, the rear wiper and defogger and selective unlock features for doors and boot-lid were removed from the AX3 trim.
The LED sequential turn indicator was removed from its AX5 and AX7. Adaptive cruise control was dropped from the AX7L manual variant and normal cruise control was given. Adaptive cruise control and start stop function was given in its AX7 L auto variant and LED sequential turn indicator was given in AX7 L variant. Apart from this, no other changes have been made in the features.
The XUV700 has received more than 1.5 lakh bookings, due to which its waiting period has also become longer. Its base MX variant has to wait for 3 months for petrol and 10 months for diesel. This goes up to 16 months for the AX7 and AX7L for its top variant.
The sales of Mahindra XUV700 are going great but in order to attract more and more customers this festive season, the company has slashed the price of its best selling variants slightly. Now it has to be seen how much profit the company will get.
