Aviation Sector Safety Audit: Every year crores of people in India go to country and abroad by air travel. On Wednesday, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), a government organization that regulates aviation related things in India, has informed that the audit work of safety monitoring of India’s aviation industry has been completed. This audit has been done by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). DGCA has told that in the initial report of ICAO, it has been found that the Safety Standard is correct in this audit and this audit has been successful.
When was the audit program started?
ICAO’s Universal Safety Oversight Audit Program (USOAP) has been run from 9 November to 16 November 2022. This program has been run under the Coordinator Validation Mission (ICVM). In this audit, ICAO has examined the Indian aviation sector in the areas of legislation, personal licensing, airworthiness, operations, organization and aerodromes. The DGCA, which regulates the aviation sector in India, says that this mission has been a complete success. India has done well in this and this will improve the aviation ranking of the country.

Till now the final report of this audit has not been published by the organization, but it is expected that its report will be good.
