Get ready for Creta EV, will run 400KM in full charge, now what will happen to Nexon EV?

Hyundai Creta EV Launch: Hyundai Creta is at the top in terms of compact SUVs. Its 10 to 15 thousand units are being sold every month. Hyundai’s sister company Kia’s Seltos is also performing amazingly in this segment. But now the EV segment is also growing rapidly in India. Currently, Tata Nexon remains the best selling electric car in the country. But soon it is going to get tough competition. Hyundai is reportedly working on an electric Creta which could arrive in 2025. Let’s know more details

Spied Hyundai Creta Electric 

It is believed that starting from the premium EV, Hyundai will move towards the affordable EV. The company is working on the Hyundai Creta Electric, which was recently spied testing. Pictures of the Creta EV have been shared on team-bhp. These pictures were taken on the Chennai Bangalore Expressway. The special thing is that there was no radiator or exhaust in this Creta. The driver was driving at a very high speed. The design of Creta Electric will be similar to the current Creta. 

Its battery pack can be taken from Kona EV. That is, 100 kW electric motor will be given in Creta EV, which will generate about 136 hp power and 395 Nm torque. The range of Creta Electric will be more than 400 kilometers on a single charge. Seltos Electric based on Creta EV platform can also be planned. 

When will it be launched 
Series production of Hyundai Creta Electric could start by the end of 2024. The production version could be showcased at the 2025 Auto Expo. Along with the Creta EV, Hyundai is also developing the e-GMP platform for scalability for the domestic and global markets.
