How to Apply Online for Jio Broadband
- Visit the JioFiber registration webpage.
- Enter your name and mobile number and click on ‘Generate OTP’.
- A 6 digit one-time password i.e. OTP will come on your phone. Enter it and click on ‘Verify OTP’.
- Enter the address of the place where you want JioFiber connection.
- After that click on ‘Submit’.
After submitting the details, you will get a confirmation message from Jio on your mobile number. After this, you will have to keep the necessary documents ready to get a broadband connection. As per the guidelines of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), for a broadband connection, you must have an Aadhaar card or any other valid address proof linked to your identity.
A recent report by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has revealed that Jio Fiber has overtaken BSNL to become the largest wired broadband provider in the country. Jio Fiber has over 4.34 million subscribers. Last year Jio introduced new Jio Fiber broadband plans for its postpaid users. These are available on quarterly basis and start at Rs 2,097.
Jio continues to grow in the mobile segment. At the end of November last year, the company added 20 lakh 19 thousand 362 customers. The total subscribers of the company have gone up to 42 crores 8 lakhs. In comparison, Airtel has added 13 lakh 18 thousand 251 new mobile customers. Vodafone Idea (VIL) is continuously losing its subscribers. In November, the company lost 18 lakh 97 thousand 50 customers. BSNL and MTNL also failed to garner customers in November.
