G.Skill International Enterprise, which specializes in high-performance memory and gaming peripherals, announced that a world record for overclocking DDR5 memory has been set in close collaboration with the Asus ROG motherboard development team. The G.Skill Trident Z5 DDR5 memory was overclocked to an effective frequency of 8704 MHz. The system used for overclocking included an Asus ROG Maximus Z690 APEX motherboard and an Intel Core i7-12700KF processor. Liquid nitrogen was used to cool the memory.
