1. Mahindra XUV300

The SUV is one of the first cars in India to receive a five-star rating from the sub-compact SUV segment Global NCAP. The tested XUV300 model was offered with safety features like two airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors. The XUV300 achieved a five-star rating for adult occupant protection but only a four-star rating for child occupant protection.

2. Mahindra XUV700

The Mahindra XUV700 SUV received the highest rating in crash tests last year, making it one of the safest cars. The SUV gets safety features like seven airbags, electronic stability program, 360-degree camera, blind view monitoring and advanced driver assistance system. Along with this, features like Front Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Smart Pilot Assist, High Beam Assist are also available.

3. Tata Punch

Tata’s new SUV Punch has a five star safety rating for adult safety and four star rating for child safety. It is also the third car from Tata to get this safety rating after the Altroz ​​in January 2020 and the Nexon in December 2018.

4. Tata Nexon

As per the Global NCAP Rating, the Nexon is the safest car among all the sub-compact SUVs currently available in India. The SUV earned a five-star rating for adult occupant protection and a three-star rating for child occupant. The Nexon gets safety features like dual front airbags, ABS brakes and Isofix anchorage.

5. Tata Altroz

Altroz ​​is the only hatchback in India to achieve a five-star rating in the Global NCAP crash test. It also has a three-star rating for child occupant protection. The Altroz ​​comes with safety features like ABS, traction control, central locking, EBD, ISOFIX (child-seat mount), 2 airbags.

6. Volkswagen Tiegan

The Tiagon SUV, which was launched almost a year ago, is Volkswagen’s first car in the compact SUV segment in India. The SUV has secured the highest ratings in both adult and child occupant protection tests. It gets a host of safety features like six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), multi-collision braking, rear parking distance control, hill hold control, and 3-point seat belts.

7. Skoda Kushaki

Skoda Kushak and Volkswagen Tigan are mid-size SUVs from both the companies and are very popular in their segment. Now both the models have got a 5-star safety rating together in the Global NCAP crash test rating. Both have become the first models in India to receive a 5-star rating in adult and child safety.
