Like every time in the last month too, Maruti Suzuki WagonR was the most liked by the Indian customers. In March 2022, the company sold 24,634 units registering a huge growth of 68 percent in WagonR sales, compared to 14,699 units in February 2022. WagonR sales have also witnessed an annual growth of 30 percent. The hatchback recently got an updated and more efficient 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre petrol engines. 2. Maruti Suzuki Dzire
Maruti’s DZire compact sedan is one of the best selling models of the company. The company managed to sell 18,623 units of Maruti Dzire in March 2022. This sales was 7 per cent higher as compared to 17,438 units in February 2022. At the same time, the company registered a year-on-year growth of 63 percent in the sales of the DZire. 3. Maruti Suzuki Baleno
The launch of the new model of Maruti Baleno in March 2022 contributed immensely in increasing the sales. The company managed to sell 14,520 units of Baleno last month. The company registered a growth of 16 per cent against 12,570 units sold in February 2022. However, sales of Baleno have registered a decline of 32 per cent annually. 4. Tata Nexon
Tata Motors’ Nexon has been the company’s best-selling compact SUV model. Last month, the company registered sales of 14,315 units of Nexon, while its annual sales have registered a massive 65 percent growth. 5. Maruti Suzuki Swift
Maruti’s sporty Swift hatchback sold 13,623 units in March. The company has registered a decline of 37 percent in its annual sales and 29 percent in monthly sales. The Swift was recently updated with a more efficient 1.2-litre engine, and it rivals the Hyundai i10 Nios in the Indian market. The Swift has been made available at a starting price of Rs.5.9 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

6. Maruti Vitara Brezza
Even after almost seven years of its launch, Maruti’s compact SUV continues to be a popular choice in this segment. In March 2022, the carmaker sold 12,439 units of the Vitara Brezza, making it the second best-selling SUV after the Nexon. The carmaker is set to launch the facelift of the SUV soon, which will get more features and a new 6-speed automatic gearbox.

7. Hyundai Creta
Creta became Hyundai’s best-selling car with sales of 10,532 units in March 2022. The monthly sales of Creta registered a monthly growth of 10 percent but the annual sales declined by 17 percent. The carmaker has launched the Knight Edition of the Creta with a 1.5-litre petrol engine mated to a 6-speed iMT clutchless manual gearbox. 8. Tata Punch
Tata’s smallest SUV, the Tata Punch, is having tremendous sales. The company has sold 10,526 units of Punch last month. The compact SUV is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. It rivals the Renault Chiger and the Nissan Magnite. 9. Hyundai Grand i10 Nios
Last month, Hyundai sold 9,687 units of its small hatchback. The company has registered a decline of 12 per cent on a year-on-year basis. The Grand i10 Nios is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol or 1.1-litre diesel engine. Prices of the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios start at Rs 5.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and it rivals the Maruti Suzuki Swift.

10. Maruti Suzuki Eeco
Maruti Suzuki registered sales of 9,221 units of Eeco. Maruti Eeco was most liked in rural areas. Prices of the Eeco range in India start at Rs 4.53 lakh and come with both petrol and CNG options.
