Amazon has updated its line of budget tablets Fire HD 8. There are three new items: Fire HD 8, Fire HD 8 Plus and Fire HD 8 Kids.
The screen of the tablets is still as simple as possible. It is 8 inches with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. But the processor became faster, and there was more memory.
Amazon, as usual, does not name the platform, but previously it was a quad-core SoC, and now it is octa-core at 2 GHz. The older model has 3 GB of RAM, while the younger and children’s versions have 2 GB each. Flash memory for all versions is 32 or 64 GB, expandable with microSD cards.
You can also note the USB-C port, stereo speakers, autonomy up to 13 hours, front cameras with a resolution of 2 megapixels and a main camera with a resolution of 5 megapixels in the Fire HD 8 Plus.
The Fire HD 8 starts at $100, the Fire HD 8 Plus starts at $120, and the kids version starts at $150. Overall, Amazon’s tablets have gotten a little better, keeping prices up. Thanks to this, Amazon has been on the list of leaders in this market for many years.
