A few days ago became known about the release of update KB5018418 for Windows 11 21H2 and KB5018427 for 22H2. However, this update also brought new problems. It turned out that the October patch causes failures when connecting to the network. This concerns the TLS/SSL protocol, which is why communication between clients and servers does not work.
The company noted that several users reported failures, and they arose precisely after installing update KB5018427.
A similar problem appeared on Windows 10 after installing update KB5018410. The company promptly released a patch numbered KB5020435, which solved this problem, since the failure affected all versions of Windows 10. As for Windows 11, an unscheduled update KB5020387 was released for version 21H2. However, the situation on Windows 11 22H2 remains unresolved.
The developers also advised reporting problems using the feedback form in Windows, but have not yet specified when the latest patch will be released.
Note that earlier reported about problems with printers in Windows 11.
