Fraudsters began to disguise themselves as tax

Potential victims of fraudulent emails are offered a link leading to a site with malicious content. Specialists of the company for strategic digital risk management BI.ZONE warned about this.

Experts warned that it is only necessary to pay taxes and make other payments related to the state in the Personal Accounts of the official websites of departments, such as nalog.ru, or through a personal account on the State Services portal.

“In the texts of such letters, fraudsters try to intimidate the victim, using all kinds of informational reasons, one of which may be a tax obligation to the state. There were cases when fraudsters imitated the site of a trustworthy government agency and placed an online cashier on it, where victims transferred their money, believing that they were paying taxes, ”said Evgeny Voloshin, director of the BI.ZONE expert services block.
