Former employee stole over $10 million from Apple

A former Apple employee involved in the company’s supply chain and responsible for fulfilling orders has been charged by US prosecutors with embezzling more than $10 million from the tech giant.

This is Dhirendra Prasad. He faces five criminal charges for abusing his position as a customer in Apple’s global service supply chain. He forced the company to pay for goods and services that it never received.

Apple fired Prasad in December 2018 after he had been with the company for more than a decade. In court documents, the man is also accused of tax evasion and fraud using electronic and postal services, as well as money laundering. A hearing in the case has been scheduled for March 24.
