Forget 108MP, Samsung will bring a phone with a 450 megapixel camera

New Delhi: Samsung Image Sensor: Smartphone companies are launching devices that come with 64 megapixel, 108 megapixel cameras. Many phones that come with 108 megapixel camera are available in the market. Work is also underway on a 200 megapixel mobile camera sensor. However, Samsung is likely to introduce a 450 megapixel ISOCELL camera sensor even further. According to a report by Hexa2pixel, Samsung has filed a trademark application for a 450-megapixel sensor. Samsung’s trademark for this sensor is seen on South Korea’s KIPRIS and Europe’s TMView. Both of these are trademarked websites. Also, Samsung introduced the 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP3 sensor with Tera2pixel technology last month.

Samsung has applied for a trademark for this camera sensor. According to a report, it will now have the largest mobile sensor ever. However, no information has been given by Samsung yet. Also, the company has not given information whether this 450 megapixel camera will be a sensor or only a sensor. The company has not said whether this sensor will be used in the phone or not.

Meanwhile, in June this year, Samsung has introduced the 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP3 image sensor. This sensor comes with Super QPD auto focus and Tetra2pixel technology. This sensor is an upgraded version of the company’s ISOCELL HP1 sensor. It has 200 million pixels in 1/1.4 optical format. This sensor can record 8K video at 30 frames per second (fps). Although Samsung has launched this sensor, this sensor has not been seen in any phone yet. However, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone was launched in the year 2023 with a 200 megapixel sensor. Apart from Samsung, Motorola and Xiaomi will soon introduce their phones with 200 megapixel cameras.
