A group of scientists from Japan has conducted a study, the results of which may seem especially interesting to the inhabitants of Russia. The thing is that, according to the conclusions made by experts, cabbage, which is popular in our country, is able to prevent the development of hypertension and strengthen bones.
This is due to the fact that the vegetable contains vitamin U, which in turn is beneficial for the health of the stomach and duodenum. It also contains vitamin K, which has a coagulating effect on the blood, stops bleeding and accelerates the healing of injuries.
The enrichment of cabbage with calcium is also no less significant, which makes it a “building material” for bones and teeth.
Note that in medicine, it is common practice when a doctor prescribes cabbage for pregnant women, since it contains folic acid, which is necessary for the production of red blood cells and cell division.
