Flagship smartphone Sony Xperia 1 IV plummeted in price in China

Sony’s online store on the popular JD.com site reports that Sony’s flagship smartphone Xperia 1 IV has fallen sharply in price and is now offered for $975.

The phone went on sale in China on June 1 with a starting price of $1,235 for the 12GB RAM, 256GB storage version. It is available in three colors: Yeyan Black, Twilight Purple and Ice Mist White. Exactly a month ago, the price was up to 1105 dollars.

The Sony Xperia 1 IV features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, a 6.5-inch 4K AMOLED screen at 120Hz, and a 5000mAh battery with 30W wired charging support.

All three image sensors retained a resolution of 12 megapixels. The main camera is equipped with a 1/1.7-inch optical format sensor and a 24mm lens with optical image stabilization. The ultra wide-angle camera has a 1/2.5″ optical format sensor with a 16mm autofocus lens. The telephoto lens received a 1/3.5-inch optical format sensor with optical image stabilization and autofocus.

The Sony Xperia 1 IV still retains the 3.5mm headphone jack, and the front stereo speakers have been improved with a 10% increase in maximum volume and 20-50% increase in bass power. In terms of wireless audio, this phone is one of the first to support the new Bluetooth LE Audio technology, which supports LDAC Bluetooth audio transmission. The smartphone meets the degree of protection IP68.

The compact smartphone Sony Xperia 5 IV was presented today, in which will not include not only a charger, but also a cable.
