FII Investment Increases: The month of August has been very good for the Indian stock market. In August, due to heavy investor from domestic to foreign investors, Sensex has crossed 59000 and Nifty has crossed 17600. In fact, in the last 10 days, foreign institutional investors have invested Rs 12,190 crore in the Indian markets. Whereas you will remember that for the last three months, foreign investors were busy selling money from the Indian markets.
On one hand, foreign investors have bought shares worth Rs 12,190 crore, while domestic institutional investors have sold shares worth Rs 2677 crore during the same period. Earlier, when foreign investors were selling, domestic institutional investors were buying. Not only has the stock market boomed due to the increase in foreign investment. Rather, due to this, the depreciating rupee against the dollar has also helped to stop the fall.
Between October 2021 and June 2022, foreign investors had sold in Indian markets. But till now in July and August 2022, foreign investors are seen buying. In July 2022, foreign investors invested Rs 4980 crore. Whereas in June 2022, FIIs sold Rs 50,203 crore. So foreign investors sold shares worth Rs 39,993 crore in May and Rs 17,144 crore in April.
In the 10 days of August, the Sensex of the Mumbai Stock Exchange has gained 2500 and the Nifty has gained 746 points. Foreign investors have bought in the capital goods, FMCG, construction and power sectors in recent times.
