Due to the rise in tariffs, the FAS initiated an administrative case against Tele2. Now the cellular operator must pay a fine of 825.5 thousand rubles.
“The operator unreasonably increased the cost of cellular services. The department opened an administrative case against the company and on November 22 imposed a fine on the telecom operator in the amount of 825,500 rubles for abuse of a dominant position, ”the Antimonopoly Service said.
Recall that in January 2021, Tele2 increased prices by more than 12 million of its subscribers by an average of 13%. The company justified this by increasing costs. Later, the FAS established that this was not the case.
