Avoid Sleep While Driving: Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant met with an accident on the highway in the early hours of December 30 while going to Roorkee. His car was badly burnt in this accident but Rishabh managed to escape after saving his life. However, he also suffered a lot of injuries during this time. He is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital and is now out of danger.
During interrogation, Rishabh told that he fell asleep while driving at night, due to which the car went out of his control and hit the road divider. 1. Do not drive if sleep is not complete
If your sleep is not complete at night and you are about to go on a long drive in the morning, then avoid doing this. If sleep is incomplete then driving in such a situation can be dangerous. Don’t rely on tea or coffee to fall asleep while driving. Plan your journey in such a way that you can get enough sleep so that you do not feel sleepy while driving.
2. Do not consume alcohol or sleeping pills
Don’t use drugs or anything that makes you sleepy before going on a long drive. Consuming these things can cause sleep while driving and you can also put your life and other people’s life in danger. Apart from this, avoid eating anything that can cause you allergy, cold or cough.

3. Take breaks on long journeys
If your journey is long, avoid driving for several hours in a row. If you drive for many hours, it will make you more tired. It would be better if you take half an hour break after 3-4 hours of driving and give your body a chance to relax. You can stop in between to have tea or coffee which will keep you fresh. If possible, you can also do stretching exercises during the pause.
4. Listen to Songs
Many people have a habit of listening to songs while driving, so many people listen to songs so that they do not sleep. If you’re driving alone, listening to music can be a great way to escape your sleep. Make sure that the sound is not so loud that you have trouble driving.
5. Avoid Driving Alone
Avoid driving alone if you are going on a long trip. It would be better if you go on a trip with your friends or someone close. Being alone can’t talk which makes you sleepy. You will not be able to sleep while driving if your companions keep talking to you.
