Everyone has long been accustomed to the high system requirements of new games – alas, this is a given that we have to put up with. However, not all developers are happy that their creations pass by some of the audience. The Remedy Entertainment team, for example, decided to correct the situation.
The studio recently released a patch for Alan Wake II. She managed to optimize the graphics in such a way that the horror game would run on owners of relatively old GeForce GTX 1070 and RX 5600 XT video cards. The developers even reflected the changes in the table. It is also worth noting that thanks to the update, the performance of the second Alan Wake has improved on much more modern GPUs. On the RTX 4070, for example, the horror movie is now 14% faster than before.
Let us remind you that Alan Wake II was released on October 27 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. The game received a standing ovation – some even called it Remedy’s best creation.
