Every second TWS headphone user in India is going to upgrade within a year

According to a consumer survey by Counterpoint Research, half of all-wireless (TWS) headphone users in India are planning to buy their next TWS device within the next 12 months. Battery life, sound clarity and voice quality are the three main factors that survey participants intend to prioritize when choosing the next device.

Due to COVID-19, restrictions have been imposed in most parts of India, as a result of which large numbers of people have switched to remote work and study. As a result, a large proportion of respondents, regardless of occupation, ended up spending money on devices like TWS. The survey results show that the market will remain resilient even after the pandemic.

Moreover, the average selling price of TWS in the Indian market is expected to rise to $ 70-130.

“The popularity of TWS is growing rapidly,” said analyst Arushi Chawla, commenting on the results of the study. “According to Counterpoint, in the third quarter of 2021, when the country began to recover from the COVID-19 restrictions, 7.9 million of these devices were shipped.”

BoAt is the leading TWS brand in India. It is followed by JBL, Samsung, OnePlus and Apple.
