President Draupadi Murmu will launch an EV travel portal and a mobile application on Wednesday. Both these platforms will help users to reach the nearest EV charger for charging Electric Vehicles (EV). This information has been given in a statement.
The Ministry of Power said that on the occasion of National Energy Conservation Day on Wednesday, the President will honor the winners of National Energy Conservation Awards and National Energy Efficiency Innovation Awards.
Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) has developed a mobile application to provide information about the nearest public chargers for electric vehicles. In addition, a website has been created to disseminate information related to various Central and State level initiatives to promote e-transport in the country.
National Energy Conservation Day is observed every year on 14 December. It aims to showcase the country’s achievements in energy efficiency and conservation.
The program will also be attended by Union Minister for Power, New and Renewable Energy RK Singh, Minister of State for Power and Heavy Industries Krishan Pal, Secretary, Ministry of Power, Alok Kumar, the statement said.
Vehicle navigation facility will be available from the app
Explain that a mobile application named EV Yatra (EV Travel) has been designed and developed to facilitate these vehicle navigation to the nearest public EV charger. This mobile app can be easily downloaded from the Apple Store and Google Play Store, as well as easily installed, on both iPhone and Android smartphones.
BEE has also developed a web-portal to enable Charging Point Operators (CPOs) to securely enter their charging details in the national online database.
Energy Conservation Day 2022 is celebrated every year on 14 December to showcase the country’s achievements in energy efficiency and conservation. The highlights of the festival this year will be:
