Odisha-based EV manufacturer Shema has unveiled three of its high-speed electric scooters – Eagle Plus, Gryphon and Tuff Plus at the EV India Expo 2022. These electric scooters can be launched in mid-October. All the three e-scooters are capable of delivering a full charge range of 120-120 kms and can reach a top speed of 50-60 kmph. The company has not yet given information about their prices, but the price is expected to be revealed with their launch.
Talking about the specifications, the Shema Eagle Plus gets a 3.2 kWh capacity lithium-ion battery pack, which the company claims gives a range of 120 km on a full charge. Its top speed is said to be 50 kmph. Eagle Plus gets a BLDC motor generating 1200W power. This e-scooter can be charged from 0-100 percent in 3.5-4 hours.
At the same time, the second e-scooter is Shema Gryphon, in which a battery pack of 4.1 kWh capacity is available. The top speed of this scooter is 60 kmph. In terms of range, it is slightly better than Eagle Plus. This e-scooter gets a range of 130 km on a full charge. The scooter uses a 1500W BLDC motor. Like the Eagle Plus, its battery pack also takes about 3.5-4 hours to get fully charged.
Finally, comes the Shema Tuff Plus, which packs a 4 kWh capacity LFP battery pack. The top speed of this scooter is also 60 kmph. In terms of range, it runs 130 km on a full charge like the Gryphon. The scooter gets 1500W BLDC motor. Like both the other e-scooters, its battery pack also takes about 3.5-4 hours to get fully charged.
Currently, Shema Electric has five low-speed products in its portfolio. The brand has a network of 40 dealerships in India, which are located in 4 states across the country. The new electric scooters will be available with a standard warranty of 3 years/60,000 km.
