EV Chargers: IOCL will install 18 new EV chargers at important places, Statiq gets contract

Electric Vehicle Charging Network Statiq (Static) Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL), has won a tender from Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL). In which this government oil company will buy 18 new static chargers to be installed at major places across the country. The tender gives Static an opportunity to support the country’s largest oil company’s plan to strengthen the country’s domestic EV mobility network infrastructure.

IOCL has set a target of achieving net zero emissions by the year 2046 and has set aside Rs 2 trillion for it. IOCL is following a strong green agenda to drive the country’s green energy transition by working on multiple emission reduction channels such as biofuels, green hydrogen, renewables etc. This tender is integral to the company’s carbon neutrality plans and will offer to leverage their strong established fuel station network.

This system registers the presence of more than 31 million people every day and thus meets more than half of India’s fuel needs. IOCL plans to install 18 new static chargers, a mixed mix of 30kW and 60kW fast chargers at key locations within its network for all types of 4-wheeler vehicles, which will reach out to a large EV population and Will help them to travel stress free.
